A Digital Portfolio

Hello, my name is Michael Lowe and welcome to my portfolio site.
I am a full-stack Java software engineer with a lot of experience implementing solutions, features, fixes, and new development for both public facing sites and intranet applications.
My skill set ranges from creating highly detailed and responsive user-interfaces to designing complex database schemas, and all the pieces in-between to make an idea a reality.
I have a proven track record of meeting and beating deadlines, effectively collaborating with others both onsite and remotely, successfully building and delivering the correct product, as well as adapting to new environments and projects quickly.
Within this site I have included a handful of work samples [contact me for work samples], an overview of my skills, my resume, education history, as well as a page to contact me.
Below are a few of my favorite headlines as well as my mission statement.
Thanks for visiting my portfolio!

Master's Degree Software Engineering

I have completed my Master's Degree in Software Engineering from Penn State University with a 4.0 GPA. The curriculum included a lot of challenging and rewarding coursework covering modern software concepts and techniques ranging from requirements engineering to design concepts, software systems architecture, testing, web security and much more.

SigmaYou.com Web Application

Successfully designed, developed, and launched SigmaYou.com.
This includes all the current modules such as:
Dashboard, Goals, Achievements, Vision Board, Gratitude Board, Blog Builder, and now the Portfolio Builder, which I have used to build and host this digital portfolio!
In addition, site security, accessibility, performance tuning, as well as extensive testing have also been completed, with much more in the works.

Java Programming Certification

Oracle Certified Java Programmer for SE8 version. This covers all the core fundamentals and concepts of the Java programming language.
This was one of my personal goals, and through the studying for the exam I greatly improved my overall knowledge and ability in core Java. Of course showing up ready for the exam and passing with a great score never hurts!
